Abbeygate offers full personal care and specialized care for those with dementia. By tailoring care to your needs, we aim to avoid the need for you to move to another home if your needs increase over time. We provide for short breaks, convalescence after hospitalization, long term and day care for people of retirement age and above.

Abbeygate offers tastefully styled bedrooms for up to 30 people in large single and twin bedded rooms, many with en suite facilities and call bell systems in all. The rooms overlook the gardens and many have panoramic views over the beautiful Itchen Valley. The first floor level rooms are serviced by a passenger lift.

There are generous communal areas; a large dining/entertainment room, a library/music room and two further sitting rooms, one of which leads to a delightful patio area.

For safety reasons, visitors are required to sign in and out of the visitor's book. The home is protected by an up to date fire alarm system, which is regularly checked, backed up by robust Fire Safety and Health and Safety Policies. The doors are security coded and alarmed. There is an extensive secure garden fitted with tables, chairs, benches and umbrellas (in the summer) for you and your relatives, friends, or advocates to enjoy. In the summer when the weather is fine afternoon tea is served in the garden.
