Client profile
Capel Grange can accommodate 38 people. We offer short breaks, convalescence, long term and day care for people of retirement age and above. We can however accommodate younger people for convalescent care. We are able to provide full personal care, with the cottage wing providing a safe and secure environment for those with dementia. Most nursing needs can be met by Community nurses who visit Capel Grange as required. In this way we aim to avoid the need for residents to move from the home, if their care needs change.

During a resident's stay at Capel Grange, staff actively encourage and promote the residents to maintain contact with their relatives, friends and advocates. There are currently two quiet lounges and two conservatories to entertain visitors should a resident prefer not to use their room. There are no restrictions on visiting hours at the care home.

Suggestions and complaints
Residents at Capel Grange are actively encouraged to participate in the resident's meetings where they can voice their opinions on a generalised basis. Questionnaires are used to help improve the quality of care and service they receive from the Home. Our complaints procedure allows more serious concerns to be dealt with immediately by management, in complete confidence.
